Green smoothies are such a great way to up your intake of fruits and veggies. It takes only a few minutes of prep and you can really get creative with your favourite ingredients.
Our go-to recipe is a mix of fruit and greens with added flaxseeds for omega-3's. If prepping for breakfast, we also like to throw in some oats to help keep us fuelled until lunch.
Get your blender at the ready, it's smoothie time.
1 large banana
1 handful spinach
1 handful blueberries/strawberries
1 tbsp flaxseeds
1/2 cup plant milk
Cacao nibs for topping
1. Add the fruit, spinach, flaxseeds, half the milk plus a few ice cubes to your blender. Blend until smooth.
2. If the smoothie is too thick for your liking, continue slowly adding the milk and blend until it reaches your desired consistency.
3. Pour into a glass and top with cacao nibs.
